Advisor
Varshal is an advisor specializing in business strategy, marketing, and sales. He thrives in the commercialization of novel technologies. With over 2 decades of strategic life science marketing and sales experience, he has held commercial management and leadership positions in several organizations ranging from startups to publicly traded conglomerates. Varshal trained under Harold “Skip” Garner at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He holds a M.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an A.B. in Chemistry from Duke University.

A computer scientist by training with a passion for the intersection of science and software, he’s spent over 2 decades developing software products from technical domains and building businesses to support them. He holds a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame, M.S. and Ph.D. from Indiana University. He also plays a mean bass guitar.
